Edward was a founding member of Phoenix Dance Company (1981-1993), performing on regional, national and international stages.

Edward also choreographed memorable works such as Nightlife at the Flamingo (1983) which was performed on the South Bank Show (1984).

He was Artistic Director of RJC Dance (1993–2006), where he directed and produced small, mid, and large-scale touring dance productions and integrated workshop programmes such as Young Men Dancing (1999) and Shack out Too (2001).

He has lectured in Black Dance in England and the Netherlands and was acknowledged for his continual contribution to dance by invitations from Her Majesty the Queen to The Reception for the Arts at Windsor Castle (1998) and the Royal Academy Awards in London (2002).

Edward was the Dance Consultant for City of York Council, Arts and Culture Department (2006-2011). His current passion is exploring dance as an expression of his Christian faith as a Founder Co. Director of Kingdom Performance Ministries (KPM - 2011).

The work with KPM is therefore a dynamic new dimension to his creative and professional profile. Since 2016 Edward has also been working in Primary Education

Edward’s sole interest in becoming a trustee is to support the Gateway Director’s vision in establishing some major performing arts development in the North East of England, reflecting his passion for the Arts Industry and the positive impact it has on our society.
